Igor Boki claims third gold at 2012 Paralympics

Belarusian swimmer finished first in Men’s 100m Backstroke - S13.
He smashed his own world record with a time of 56.97secs, beating silver by three seconds.
Silver went to Charles Bouwer from South Africa (59.92). Bronze was taken by Greek Charalampos Taiganidis (1 min 01.10).
The bronze medalist of the 2012 Paralympics in Men's Triple Jump Alexander Subota was eighth in Long Jump F46 (6.06m)
Sergei Gribanov was sixth in Men’s Shot Put - F11/12 (13.65m).
Belarus has so far won six medals at the London Paralympics, four of them by Igor Boki. He won gold in 100m Butterfly on 31 August, silver in 50m Freestyle on 1 September, gold in 100m Freestyle on 2 September and gold in 100m Backstroke on 3 September.
Bronzes were clinched by athlete Alexander Subota in Triple Jump in F46 on 1 September and by Lyudmila Volchek in Rowing on 2 September.
Belarus is 20th in the Paralympics medal count. The top five includes China (46 golds, 29 silvers, 33 bronzes), the UK (19, 25, 18), Australia (15, 12, 19), and Ukraine (15, 12, 15).
Belarus is represented by 31 Paralympians in seven sports (track and field, swimming, rowing, fencing, judo, cycling and powerlifting)
Partaking in the London Paralympics 2012 are over 4,000 athletes from 165 countries. The Games will close on 9 September.
