Russian Forces In 'Cauldron' In Liman

The Ukrainian military breached the frontline of the 20th All-Russian Army of the Russian Federation.

The Russian occupation army has found itself in an operational encirclement (cauldron) in Liman, Donetsk Oblast. Seeking to rectify the situation, the Russian command sends all possible reinforcements in this direction.

Meanwhile, Russian propagandists complain that Ukrainian servicemen broke through the frontline of the 20th Combined Army. Journalist Yury Butusov analyzed on Facebook the information published by the Russian media.

He says the AFU movement to Nevskoye, the Luhansk Oblast, and Terny, the Donetsk Oblast, means the cutting off of the last supply routes for Russian invaders. Butusov also notes that the propagandists' published information indicates that the Ukrainian army will "seal the cauldron" and defeat the enemy's Liman-Yampol grouping.

Butusov stresses that Russian commanders retain Liman and Yampol despite the obvious threat. However, he points out that the configuration of the front is extremely disadvantageous for the enemy to defend; the occupants will not be able to hold such a front for a long time.

"At the same time, we should not underestimate the enemy; the grouping remains controllable; the enemy still outnumbers us in heavy weapons and ammunition. The fighting is heavy," the journalist says.

Trying to hold their positions in Liman, the Russian troops are redeploying all possible reinforcements. Among other things, the AFU soldiers have seized the documents of servicemen of the 201st Military Base in Tajikistan, various regional and national units, and a number of battalions of BARS.

The Russian command also sends mobilized men into the "cauldron."

"The marching reinforcements of the mobilized are sent to replenish the 144th and 3rd Motorized Rifle Divisions in the area. The 61st Marine Brigade and airborne troop units are also used here," Butusov says.

He says Ukrainian servicemen have reached Kremenna. After the defeat of the Liman-Yampol grouping, the enemy will have to flee all the way to the R66 Svatovo-Kremenna highway.

In addition, Butusov published a map depicting the situation around Liman. He adds that Ukrainian troops have crossed the Oskol on the northern section of the front, and are gradually advancing northward to Svatovo. It indicates inevitable battles for Svatovo and Kremenna in the not-too-distant future.
