The proof has been released.
An F-35 fighter jet of the Dutch Air Force shot down a Russian drone "Shahed". This is evidenced by a mark left by the military on the aircraft.
This was reported by defensie.nl.
As evidence, the publication released a photo of the fighter jet with the Russian strike drone's badge on its hull.
The drone was probably shot down in Polish airspace on September 10.
Dutch Air Force Mission in Poland
The F-35 fighter jets are in Poland from September 1 to December 1 to protect NATO territory.
Netherlands pilots have already participated in combat sorties several times, and once used the weapons to shoot down Russian Federation drones.
The Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said "Russia's reckless aggression is only getting worse."
"By deploying the F-35 in Poland, the Netherlands demonstrates that together with its allies, our country remains invariably on standby, because NATO's eastern border is also our security border," the minister said during a visit to the Dutch F-35 unit.
Brekelmans emphasized that the Netherlands is resolutely ready to defend the Alliance's eastern border together with its allies.
