Zelensky Awarded Duda With The Order Of Freedom

It is the highest order of Ukraine, which can be awarded to foreigners.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has awarded current Polish President Andrzej Duda with the Order of Freedom. Duda is on a visit to Kiev today, June 28.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to decree No. 439 published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to the decree, Duda was awarded the Order of Freedom for outstanding personal services in strengthening Ukrainian-Polish international cooperation, support of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Order of Freedom is a state award of Ukraine, which is given to both citizens and foreigners for outstanding and special merits in asserting the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, developing democracy, upholding constitutional rights and freedoms and the like.

The Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine, which can be awarded to foreigners and stateless persons. As of August 23, 2024, there are 28 foreign holders of the Order of Freedom.
