In Belgorod, a Russian missile fired by an air defense system (ADS) crashed into an apartment building on Yunosti Boulevard during the morning attacks by Ukrainian drones.
According to "Pepel Belgorod", a fragment of a Pantsir-S1 missile - its upper stage - was stuck in the facade of the apartment building. According to the city's mayor Valentin Demidov, only the outer part of the wall was damaged. "In the apartments, no damage to glazing or any other destruction has been detected at the moment," he wrote in his Telegram channel. Judging by photos and video from the scene, a piece of the missile had half entered the side wall of the house.
A similar situation occurred in early May in Podolsk near Moscow during a massive AFU drone raid on the Moscow region ahead of Victory Day celebrations. Part of an anti-aircraft missile fired to intercept the drone crashed into a high-rise building on Leningradskaya St. and punctured the skin of a second-floor balcony, getting stuck in it and failing to explode. The residents of the building were evacuated.
