Flooding Has Begun In Lviv

Streets flooded in Lviv after a heavy downpour. It rained all night in the city, and according to weather forecasters, precipitation will continue during the day on July 10, writes UNIAN.

Cars "floated" and pedestrians are forced to look for detours.

Lviv OSA reports that the bad weather has already left 192 settlements without electricity. Of these, 55 are completely de-energized and 137 - partially.

According to local media, Lviv has "big" water on Kulparkivska, Truskavetska and Aviatsivska streets. In Sokolniki flooded parking lots near the Continent housing estate. The Zubra River, near Lviv, is out of its banks.

The mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy said that due to heavy rains in Lviv flooding continues, there is a threat to several districts of the city. In places in non-residential areas water reaches almost 3 meters. The river Zubra continues to go out of its banks.

"There is a threat of flooding of part of Frankivske, Sikhivske and Zheleznodorozhny districts. We ask residents to move things from basements to a safe place, as well as to roll cars from underground parking lots and potentially dangerous areas," the official appealed to the citizens.
