The Belarusian footballer explained that he does not support Lukashenko and Russian aggression.
Belarusian footballer Alexander Gleb became an undesirable person on the territory of Poland. Moreover, the Poles then promised not only to ban entry to their territory, but also to the entire Schengen zone. Also were "frozen" financial and economic resources on the territory of Poland, writes "Tribuna".
After two years, the ex-footballer of Arsenal and Barcelona decided to appeal. According to document DPP-WTPZ.0272.74.2025.BS(6), published on the website gov.pl, Gleb requested to be removed from the sanctions list based on the following points:
"The applicant's activities are not of a political nature, he tries to maintain political neutrality";
"The applicant does not publicly express disagreement with the rule of Alexander Lukashenko, as it may affect his life and the life of his family";
"The applicant does not support Russian aggression against Ukraine, including the support that Belarus provides to Russia".
According to the applicant, who was Gleb, there was no reason for Poland to take sanctions measures against him because he "does not have financial and economic means in the country, does not support Russian aggression, human rights violations or repression and is not associated with entities engaged in such activities".
