He hinted at the transfer of important weapons to Ukraine.

The United States will continue to support Ukraine, and the delivery of additional air defense systems is possible in the near future. The President of the United States Donald Trump is a fairly consistent person, one should not judge him by the characteristics of the media.

This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Kirill Budanov, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing his interview with Bloomberg.

- Trump's position is consistent, one should not judge him by the characteristics of the media ... As the head of the intelligence service, I know more," he assured.

Budanov also added that US support for Ukraine will continue "in the near future. He suggested that Washington might send additional air defense systems, which Kiev badly needs.

The publication recalled that Trump on July 8 ordered the resumption of arms supplies to Ukraine and criticized Russian dictator Putin, accusing him of massacring civilians.

Intelligence cooperation

Budanov also said that cooperation between Ukrainian and Western intelligence services can be described as "remarkable." Ukraine, he said, is now dependent on the United States for intelligence sharing, particularly on early warning of missile launches and access to satellite imagery.

"I don't see any signs that our cooperation in security services will stop. This is unprofitable neither for us nor for our partners, because they get information from us," assured the head of the Defense Ministry's GUR.

Budanov also urged allies to stop relying on technology and return to "human intelligence" - networks of spies. He explained that now almost all European countries have "almost buried" traditional intelligence methods, which is wrong.

"Stop believing that technical intelligence will solve everything. Nobody is going to discuss and plan an operation on a cell phone," he added.
