US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the war in Ukraine with the foreign ministers of Britain, Germany and France.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a report on the official website of the US State Department.

Rubio told the interlocutors that US President Donald Trump's top priority is to resolve the situation through diplomacy.

"Speaking about the Russia-Ukraine war, the secretary of state emphasized that President Trump's priority remains its conclusion and negotiated settlement," the State Department said.

The US secretary of state also discussed with the foreign ministers of the three countries the situation in the Middle East, and in Iran in particular.

"Rubio discussed with the foreign ministers of France, Germany and Great Britain the issues of strengthening stability in the Middle East and preventing Iran from developing and obtaining nuclear weapons," the State Department added.
