The elections of the new chairman of the Football Federation of Belarus were held in the House of Football. The protégé of the Minister of Sport, former security guard of Lukashenko Sergei Kovalchuk - Evgeny Buloychik won. Andrei Tolmach withdrew his candidacy from the election for the post of the ABFF Chairman in favor of Evgeni Buloichik.

A week earlier, the first deputy of Nikolai Sherstnev Andrei Vasilevich withdrew his candidacy.

Thereby, the former guard of Alexander Lukashenko has taken over the last large and formally independent sports association in Belarus.
