Russia And Occupied Regions Massively Attacked By UAVs

A "Carpet" plan has been announced at a number of airports.

On the evening of July 18 and after midnight, Russia and temporarily occupied Donetsk were attacked by drones. Authorities restricted the operation of airports by introducing the "Cover" plan, a fire went up in the Moscow region and an energy facility was damaged by the attack. Russian Federation said about 90 drones had been "shot down," Focus wrote.

The drones attacked the Bryansk, Orel, Kaluga, Rostov, Moscow, Tula and Smolensk regions, the Russian publication Izvestia reported, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

Attack on Moscow Region

The group of drones attacked the Moscow region and the suburbs in particular. Locals heard a series of explosions, and air defense forces were active in Mozhaisk and Dmitrov, Russian media outlet Mash noted.

"In Dmitrov, the wreckage of a downed UAV fell into a field, a high-voltage line was damaged," the media outlet reported.

In local airports, in particular in "Sheremetyevo", the authorities imposed restrictions on departures and landing of aircraft.

The network also spread footage of the attack across the Moscow region. The video shows UAVs flying in the sky, air defense work, and a fire that rose at one of the locations as a result of the strikes.

A total of about 13 attack UAVs were shot down over the Moscow region within hours, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Attack on occupied regions

Also on the evening of July 18, drones attacked temporarily occupied Donetsk en masse. Local blogs reported that the Petrovsky district in particular came under attack. The attack resulted in a fire.

In addition to Donetsk region, drones attacked the temporarily occupied city of Tokmak in Zaporizhzhya region. The pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ spread footage of the aftermath of the strikes on the town. The photos show a fire.

In addition, the Russian media informed about a series of explosions in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Locals heard at least 5 explosions over Gukovo and a number of UAVs flying over the region.
