Employees of KAMAZ enterprises in Naberezhnye Chelny have been banned from bringing food from deliveries and stores. The exception is containers with home-cooked food for personal consumption, according to "KAMAZ News".

The decision was made for reasons of "biological and chemical safety" to prevent "mass poisoning" of employees "taking into account the political situation and the likelihood of sabotage" against the background of the war in Ukraine. The ban also applies to manufactured goods - except for those needed to perform official duties.

July 1, the FSB reported the detention of a 51-year-old resident of Naberezhnye Chelny suspected of collaborating with Ukrainian security services. He was accused of helping to prepare the murder of a member of the Sparta volunteer battalion, who had fought in the LNR, by passing data on the whereabouts and movements of the potential victim to the SBU. Also, the FSB claimed that the detainee collected information about the objects of transport infrastructure and defense-industrial complex in Tatarstan, which could be used for sabotage. A criminal case on state treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code) has been opened.
