They want to bring in the private sector.
Driver training in schools and lyceums "will create an incentive for employment of graduates in rural areas, as well as increase their interest in serving in the army." This opinion was expressed by consultant of the Department of General Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education Angela Kudoyarova, BelTA writes.
A new rule has been introduced into the Education Code: schools in urban-type settlements, villages, as well as specialized lyceums, Suvorov and cadet schools can now train students to be drivers of motor vehicles and self-propelled machines.
- We believe that this norm will create an incentive and interest of graduates to find employment in rural areas together with their parents, and will also contribute to the formation of students' readiness to serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Previously, this program could not be implemented because the norm had to be introduced into the Education Code. It will be implemented from the new school year, - said Angela Kudoyarova.
Lists of students for this program will be compiled by the educational institution itself. All the details and rules will be spelled out in an official regulatory document.
Chief specialist of the department of preschool, general secondary, vocational and specialized secondary education of the main department of education of Minsk voblast executive committee Natalya Dudkina noted that the formation of lists will also take into account the availability of opportunities for educational institutions.
- It can be implemented in cooperation with colleges, which have both ranges and machines, but, above all, the opportunity to take more students studying at school to their students under this program. Cadet schools in Minsk voblast have the opportunity to cooperate with colleges in training drivers, or with the organization DOSAAF, which is also very active in this regard, although it's not an obligation," she explained.
The questions of whether farms or private organizations can join this program will be decided individually. If a private driving school meets all the requirements of the law, it is ready to provide such an opportunity.
