In particular - cryptocurrency.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that he has signed a sanctions package against Russian financial schemes, including cryptocurrency schemes.

Zelensky said this in a video message published in his Telegram channel.

The president noted that the sanctions were introduced on the proposal of the National Bank and are both Ukraine's initiative and synchronization with partners.

"Only through one company, which is now on the sanctions list, and only since the beginning of this year, that is, before the sanctions, the Russians have spent several billion dollars, and mainly precisely for the needs of their military industry," Zelensky said.

He added that since most of the usual financial routes are blocked, Russians are switching to cryptocurrency settlements, among other things.

"In total, today's package includes sanctions against 60 legal entities, and for each we will work with our partners to unite the sanctions - ours and European, ours and other significant jurisdictions of the world. Also in the package are 73 individuals, all of whom are Russian citizens. We will also synchronize sanctions on them," the Ukrainian president said.

Zelenskyy announced next week new decisions on synchronizing the EU sanctions, noting that all European packages should be implemented in the Ukrainian jurisdiction and vice versa.
