According to the commander-in-chief, only in the past 24 hours there were 188 combat clashes with the enemy, as a result of which the Russian troops lost more than a thousand soldiers.

"Emphasized on the actions of our units in active defense - on preventing the enemy from advancing deep into our defense in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlovsk directions and reaching the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region," he noted.

Separately Syrsky noted the restoration of positions and retention of territories in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation. According to him, Ukrainian forces continue to restrain a significant group of the enemy in the border area, and the enemy will have no rest there.

The Stavka also discussed the build-up and improvement of the unmanned defense component. Syrsky specified that the matter concerns both the defense of rear cities and the deterrence of enemy assaults on the front lines and DeepStrike strikes on Russian territory.

"I keep under control the development of the direction of interceptor drones. New crews are being formed, fighters are being trained. The army needs as many of these high-tech UAVs as possible," he added.
