Lukashenko visited a goat breeding plant near Mogilev. And immediately came up with another "fruitful" debut idea, writes "Salidarnasts".

Hearing from officials and specialized specialists that "there is a good demand for breeding goats not only in Belarus, but also in Uzbekistan and Russia," Lukashenko demanded to "turn around faster":

- Why not to do it, why not intensify the process? It's a good business, it's promising, there is a demand. (...) There should be doubling as long as there is demand. Here they are, live money.

The officials were given a specific deadline for doubling - by the middle of 2026.

- We have to go as far as possible. If there is a moment to make money, we must make money and occupy the market," the ruler ordered. He also gave away the secret of how to make goat farming products popular among Belarusians:

- Excellent milk. And it is very important for children. Nutrition is first of all psychology. You have to get into a person's head with this cheese. And prove to him that it is very useful.

The idea of making money while there is demand is not the first time Lukashenko has realized it. For example, at one time Belarus significantly expanded the production of sugar, trying to get rich on the temporary deficit of this product in Russia.

Analogous story was with the reconstruction of cement plants, which cost the budget huge expenses, and with the production of paper and cellulose.

In all these cases, the immediate desire to seize the moment turned out to be a complete failure and many years of losses. In the case of goats, the good news is that the impact on the budget will be much more modest, given the scale of the sector.

According to official data, the country has 48 thousand goats in all categories of farms, of which only 5% fall on state agricultural organizations.
