Operation "Pipe": An Unpleasant Truth For Russians Revealed

New details of the Russian Armed Forces' Operation Pipe, which was carried out in March in the Kursk region, are being revealed. New testimonies of contract soldiers reveal the brutal truth about the cost of Russian propaganda's mythical "success," writes "Dialogue".
According to one of the participants in the operation from the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment, preparations for the breakthrough through the gas pipe lasted about five months. The whole process was accompanied by deep secrecy: the digging was done manually, the exit from the pipe was cut in silence, trying not to give any signs of life on the surface. The occupants did not go outside for weeks in order not to be noticed by the AFU intelligence.
But this "heroic" underground penetration quickly turned into a nightmare. The pipe through which the military advanced turned out to be saturated with methane residue. Due to the lack of oxygen, the RF military began to have severe attacks of suffocation and hallucinations.
"We lost consciousness several times. Someone was burping blood, spitting up blood. One of them had a leg failure. He crawled stupidly, he couldn't walk... He wanted to live, so he crawled," said one of the survivors.
People fell asleep on the move from hypoxia. Some began bleeding, others became hysterical. Some desperately put a bullet in their foreheads, several eyewitnesses said: "There are a lot of them there, guys."
The behavior of the "kadyrovtsy" who also took part in the operation added to the horror. According to eyewitnesses, they took away water and food from the soldiers without giving them a basic chance of survival.
"There, Akhmat was dismantling, shooting, they were taking away water and food. They just took away! There is no oxygen, you inhale gas and start going crazy," one of the occupants shared.
Most of the participants of this operation never made it out: some of them suffocated right in the pipe, others were liquidated by the AFU immediately on their way out - Ukrainian intelligence detected the displacement in advance and were waiting in readiness. Those who survived are now suffering from severe damage to the respiratory system, and many are developing cancer. According to the survivors themselves, they did not receive compensation, no one even spoke about awards.
Specialists note: the operation was organized extremely carelessly. At the same time, there was no urgent need for it. At the time of the assault, the Ukrainian troops had already started withdrawing from Suja. This means that the breakthrough through the gas pipeline was not of strategic importance - the soldiers were simply thrown into a gas trap for the sake of stories on Russian TV channels.
