The War Will Continue As Long As Putin Is In Power

The war became the only meaning of Russia's existence.

War in one form or another - albeit perhaps not on such a large scale - will continue as long as Putin remains in power. The economy has been put on a war footing, and propaganda is completely militarized. War has become the sole raison d'être of Putin's Russia, permeating every pore of Russian society.

But even if we imagine that the war will be stopped, the question arises: where to put the army? Demobilization is an extremely serious and dangerous process. Even in the United States in 1946 after World War II there were difficulties with it. We remember the 90s in Russia: the "Afghan brotherhood" and the level of criminality that these groups created. But this is a drop in the ocean compared to what can happen now.

The level of criminalization and moral decay today is fundamentally different. In the 90s, there were still some norms in society - now there are none. The return of 1.5 million soldiers, a third of whom are in a traumatized or insane state, will create an uncontrollable situation throughout the country. That is why there are no real scenarios for ending the war - Putin will continue it.
