WSJ: US Ready To Supply Ukraine Not Only With Patriot System

Trump is ready to consider transferring another Patriot system to Ukraine. The US president made such a statement after he recently promised to strengthen Ukraine's defense amid constant daily attacks from the Kremlin.

Journalists The Wall Street Journal, citing two U.S. officials, report that the White House has already sent a request to the Pentagon.

It includes a request not only for the transfer of an air defense system, but also for other weapons that could help Ukraine confront Putin's army.

At the same time, the US is studying whether allies could also provide Ukraine with additional Patriot systems.

One former Pentagon official said that since 2022, the US and Germany have supplied Ukraine with three Patriot systems each, with another one transferred by a consortium of European countries.

Yesterday, it was reported that Trump ordered Ukraine to transfer 10 missiles for the Patriot system. In addition, Washington is pressuring Germany to sell another Patriot battery to Ukraine.
