Preparing for war with Russia.
Poland has realized the trends of modern naval warfare, which requires mass means with low cost. Therefore, special forces from the JW Formoza unit are now secretly testing American ultra-low-cost marine drones from HavocAI. In doing so, they are trying to replicate the tactics of the SBU, GUR and other Ukrainian units armed with them, writes Army Recognition.
It is noted that Polish special forces are modeling their drills and tests with elements of night navigation, intelligence gathering and simulated infiltration scenarios. This is how Poland is preparing for a likely war with Russia in the Baltic Sea.
The Defense Express notes that HavocAI was founded only 18 months ago. But it is already mass producing and designing its own maritime drones. And the bias is toward reducing the cost and the possibility of mass production of such drones.
The company has already introduced marine drones Rampage Gen 1 and Gen 2, which can carry about 136 kg of payload. They are also equipped with solar panels, which are probably designed to increase the range of the drone. A Starlink satellite communications antenna is used to control the drones.
In addition, the company emphasizes the ability to organize these drones into large swarms - one operator from anywhere in the world can control several dozen Rampage drones at once.
At the same time, the company previously noted that the cost of one drone is now only about $100,000, which is really not too expensive for this kind of drone.
