  • 13.08.2025, 7:42

Second time this week.

On the night of August 12-13, drones attacked Russian regions, particularly the Bryansk and Volgograd regions. In both regions, Russian oil refining facilities were tentatively under attack.

In the Bryansk region, drone strikes targeted the linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) Unecha of the Druzhba oil pipeline in the village of Vysokoye. The overnight bombings were reported in Russia by local media outlet Astra.

"Residents of the Bryansk region report that drones are again attacking the town of Unecha and the district on the night of August 13. It is alleged that the target of the attack was again the Unecha linear production and dispatch station in the village of Vysokoye in the Unetsky district," the report said.

The network also showed footage of the night attack across the Bryansk region. The video, which is allegedly taken from the scene, shows a glow in the sky.

The governor of the Bryansk region said 12 attack drones were allegedly destroyed over the region overnight.

"Operational and emergency services are working on the ground," the local government said.

This is the second attack on an oil pipeline this week, Russian media emphasized. The first one took place on the night of August 6, after which thick black smoke rose over the region. Then, according to the Russian media, at least one attack drone hit the Unecha linear production and dispatch station.

It is noted that the Unecha LPDS in the Bryansk region is one of the largest nodes of the Druzhba trunk oil pipeline network.

Explosions in Russia's Volgograd region

The attack on Russian regions continued at around 02:00 hours. "Rosaviation" reported that the airport in Volgograd suspended operations due to the threat of UAV strikes.

At around 03:00 hours, residents of Volgograd reported explosions. The region's governor said UAV debris fell on the roof of a 16-story building, causing the Russians to announce the evacuation of residents.

The residents of Volgograd's Krasnoarmeysky district also reported explosions, according to RosSMI. They were heard near an oil refinery owned by Lukoil.
