The U.S. Secret Service is preparing for a meeting in Hungary.

The White House has proposed a new venue for a meeting between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. We are talking about Budapest.

This is reported by Politico.

The publication notes that the U.S. Secret Service is preparing for the summit in Hungary. White House Speaker Carolyn Leavitt commented on the matter at a press conference, "I'm not going to confirm or deny locations."

Although the Secret Service frequently vets different locations and the final venue could change, Budapest is emerging as the first choice for the White House, Politico's interlocutors note.

According to Sky News and other media, a meeting between Zelensky and Putin could take place by the end of the month, with Geneva, Vienna, Rome, Budapest and Doha among the venues being considered.

Geneva (Switzerland) is considered the best option, while Rome or Vatican City are not liked by Russians and Budapest is not liked by Ukrainians.
