US President Donald Trump has announced a visit to China and a meeting with President Si Jinping to continue negotiations on a new trade agreement.

According to Fox News.

On Monday, the White House chief said the U.S. and China - the world's two largest economies - "will have a great relationship."

At the same time, Trump cautioned that he could "destroy China" if he wanted to, using the "incredible trump cards" he has.

"We have much bigger and better trump cards than they do. They have certain trump cards. We have incredible trump cards. But I don't want to use them. If I did, it would destroy China," the president said in the Oval Office.

It's not clear whether Trump meant by "trumps" economic leverage, political influence, or something else.

In addition, the U.S. leader said he recently spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping and is considering traveling to China for talks.

The president said he will likely visit Beijing this year or early 2026.
