US Special Purpose Drone Flew Over Lithuania

Global Hawk performed a reconnaissance mission along NATO's eastern flank.

On Friday morning, a Northrop Grumman RQ-4B Global Hawk FORTE10 unmanned NATO special operations reconnaissance drone flew over Lithuania at high altitude, writes delfi.lt.

According to Flightradar24, an aircraft flight monitoring platform, the drone flew overnight from a NATO base in Sicily, Italy, and carried out a reconnaissance mission along NATO's eastern flank, flying through Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and reaching Finland.

According to the U.S. military, the RQ-4 Global Hawk is a high altitude, long duration, remotely piloted aircraft with an integrated suite of sensors that provides global intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities in all weather and at any time of day.
