Trump Made A New Statement About Nuclear Submarines

The US placed them "closer to Russia" in response to Medvedev's words.

US President Donald Trump, answering questions from journalists, said that two US nuclear submarines are "in a certain region."

He did not specify which submarines he was referring to, nor did he disclose their locations - the Pentagon traditionally keeps such information secret.

The US leader also expressed confidence that the US will manage to stop the war in Ukraine. At the same time, he avoided specifics about how he would do it.

"A lot of people are dying in this senseless war. And, you know, we have stopped war in many countries, India and Pakistan. We have stopped many countries. We will stop this war too. Somehow we're going to stop it," Trump said.

On August 1, Trump ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines "in appropriate areas" in response to "stupid and provocative" remarks by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about a massive nuclear strike.
