After a drone attack, a column of smoke can be seen from afar.

In Russia on the night of August 7, drones attacked a number of facilities that work for the military-industrial complex. In particular, an oil refinery near the village of Afipsky in the Krasnodar region came under attack once again, OBOZ.UA reports.

A powerful fire broke out there after a series of explosions. The explosions were reported by local residents who captured a number of images.

Witnesses claimed that they first heard explosions near the village and then there was a strike on the territory of the refinery.

The footage they published shows black smoke and flames raging above the refinery.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the event.

What is known about the attacked facility

The refinery near Afipskoye in Krasnodar Krai is one of Russia's key refineries, with a capacity of 6.25 million tons of oil per year.

It plays a strategic role in providing fuel for the Russian Armed Forces' military equipment, especially on the southern front lines.

The location in Krasnodar Krai makes the refinery an important logistical center for the supply of diesel fuel and aviation kerosene, which are used by the occupants.

The Afipsky refinery is not only an industrial facility, but also an important element of the Russian military infrastructure. That is why drones have already repeatedly attacked the plant, which works for the Russian military machine.
