Drones Attacked Russia's Volgograd, Where A Lukoil Facility Operates

On the night of September 18, drones allegedly attacked the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka facility in the Russian city of Volgograd, with locals reporting more than a dozen explosions.

Local residents reported hearing engine sounds and explosions in the southern part of the city of Volgograd. Also, residents of neighboring communities reported loud sounds, wrote Telegram channel Shot.

The "Cover" plan was introduced at Volgograd airport. Two Moscow flights were canceled.

The regional governor said that due to the fall of UAV debris, windows were broken and the roof was damaged in two private houses in Krasnoarmeysky district. There were no casualties.

Social networks speculate that the target of the drones was a company of the Lukoil concern, which provides fuel to the army of the aggressor state.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that overnight, on-duty air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 43 Ukrainian airplane-type drones over the territory of Rostov, Volgograd, Kursk and Belgorod regions and over occupied Crimea.
