Waltz: Russians Need To Understand Trump's Message That He's Not Fooling Around

The U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations explained Trump's words about Russia.

U.S. President Donald Trump was not kidding and is indeed ready to use "both the carrot and the stick" in his policy toward Moscow, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mike Waltz said on Fox News.

The day before, on September 23, Trump agreed during a press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes if they violate their airspace. Waltz said the president's words made common sense.

"The Russians need to understand the president's message, that he's not fooling around, he's incredibly serious, the Iranians have painfully realized that he's using both the stick and the carrot," Waltz said.
